1. Introduction

Welcome to The Author Academy ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website and programmes (“Academy Access”, “Book Builder Mentorship”, “Accelerators”). By enrolling, subscribing, or accessing our content, you agree to abide by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

2. Services and Eligibility

Scope: Our programmes include a structured six-step publishing process over six months, optional mentorship pre-course, feedback tiers, group calls, and a range of publishing support services (Accelerators).

Eligibility: You must be 18 years or older and legally able to enter into this agreement.

Contract Formation: A binding contract begins when you enroll via our payment gateway and we acknowledge your subscription. We reserve the right to decline enrollment if we feel the programme is not the right fit for you.

3. Payment and Refunds

Payment Terms: Membership tiers are billed monthly. You’re responsible for ensuring payment remains current to retain access.

Refunds: Due to the nature of our services, we offer no refunds after commencement. If cancellation is due to extenuating circumstances, please contact us directly.

License: You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use our content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

4. Your Responsibilities

Commitment: You agree to engage with the materials, meet deadlines, and participate honestly in calls and community activities.

Communication: Maintain the method of communication we agree upon. Missed calls or feedback windows may not be rescheduled.

Originality: You confirm all submitted work is your own. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary third-party consents.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, including course material, branding, guides, and emails, is owned by The Author Academy or our licensors. You may not copy, share, or redistribute our materials, except for personal use.

6. Third-Party Accelerators

Optional add-ons like editing, design, and formatting are delivered either by us or trusted partners. While we vet providers carefully, we cannot warranty outcomes.

7. Results Disclaimer

Every author’s journey is unique. We do not guarantee the completion of your book, publishing success, or financial results. Testimonials reflect individual experiences only. Results depend on your creativity, effort, and consistency.

8. Termination & Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, act unlawfully, or disrupt the community environment. Upon termination, content access ceases immediately. Fees already paid will not be refunded.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Author Academy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the programme or materials.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be prominently displayed on the site and notified to active members. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
